How can I publish a schedule of organizational events while also maintaining privacy for my personal calendar items?
If you're interested in doing this, we recommend using two separate Triskelon calendar accounts, one for private data, the other for public data.
How do I tell whether a calendar account is public or private?
When you ask for a calendar account, you tell us whether it should be public or private. Provide a single password for private accounts; or two passwords for public accounts. Public calendar accounts require two passwords because one is for you to make changes and should be kept private; and the other enables the public to read the calendar, so it gets published as part of the web address. If in doubt, please contact us, and we will carefully check the configuration settings and report back.
If I delete an item accidentally, can I get it back?
Sure, just click "Undo Del". The last item deleted will be restored. Click "Undo Del" again to restore the item deleted before that, and so on for deletions you made over the past 48 hours. Any items you deleted more than 48 hours ago are gone permanently.
Should I sign out?
If you're working from a computer which no one else can use, it's more convenient and just as secure to stay logged in all the time. Otherwise, you should sign out when you're finished to keep your data private.
The date/time shown in the upper-right corner isn't accurate—why?
Because your system clock, accessible via your operating system, is wrong.
When I click on "Month View", nothing happens--why?
Because the Month View is already open in another window. Check your taskbar.
Why is there a different color background on one calendar item?
The background highlight is meant to help you quickly find the item you last saved, or last restored with "Undo Del", or last imported, or the item pertaining to the alarm that just rang. The background color will return to normal automatically.
What if my screen saver kicks in while I'm expecting an alarm to ring?
You will still hear the alarm ring if you are near your computer.
What if my power management features kick in while I'm expecting an alarm to ring?
You will still hear the alarm ring if the monitor power is off or the hard disk has shut down, as long as you are near the computer. You will not hear the alarm ring if system standby or hibernation mode has engaged. If you're using the alarms feature, we recommend disabling hibernation and system standby in your power management settings.
What if I lose my Internet connection while I'm expecting an alarm to ring?
Then you will not hear the alarm ring. If you are using a dial-up connection, or a laptop that moves in and out of wireless coverage areas, do not expect the alarms feature to work reliably.
How can I tell if an alarm rang in my absence after returning to my computer?
If the calendar page was loaded, and an alarm rang while you were away, check the calendar page in your browser window, and you'll see a popup message telling you an alarm rang. If the calendar page was not loaded, any pending alarms will ring as soon as you open the page. Nothing happens (scripts do not run, data is not changed, alarms do not ring) unless the calendar page is loaded.
Can my assistant maintain my calendar for me, using my calendar login?
Yes, but where more than one person (or viewing the same calendar with more than one device) is involved: (1) you shouldn't expect alarms to ring reliably, and (2) where one person makes a change, the other won't see the change until after refreshing the page.
Is the alarm sound customizable?
Yes. Any WAV file that's loud enough can be used. If you'd like a different alarm sound, please contact us.
